Chancellor Scholz hosts an informal meeting between Kurti and Vucic

Due to tensions and emergency circumstances created by the war between Russia and Ukraine,  Chancellor Olaf Scholz, invited Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Berlin on May 4 to discuss the dialogue and to prevent tensions between both parties. To express support for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, the Special Representative of the EU for the dialogue Miroslav Lajcak was invited.

The meeting was described as an informal dinner where they discussed the dialogue, as reported by, Special Representative of the EU Miroslav Lajcak.

“Welcome the opportunity for an informal dinner discussion about the Dialogue with Prime Minister Kurti and President Vučić in Berlin. Grateful of the German government for hosting. We will continue the discussion at the level of chief negotiators on May 13”, wrote Lajcak. The dinner is taking place in Berlin, as each, Kurti and Vucic had a meeting with the German chancellor Olaf Scholz”.
