A meeting on implementing the Energy Agreement was held in Brussels

The delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, led by Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri, participated in the latest meeting on energy held in Brussels, with the mediation of the European Union.

In this meeting, they discussed the implementation process of the energy agreement, and particularly, the steps that must be undertaken by each party to ensure that the implementation process is in line with the agreement and its deadlines. The parties concentrated the discussions on aligning their positions on the working plan; which will serve as a guideline for the implementation of the energy agreement, reached on 8 September 2013.

Parties agreed to continue consultations for the purpose of finalizing a working plan and starting the practical execution of this agreement, which seeks to establish inter-state energy cooperation between Kosovo and Serbia, on the basis of the European Union principles and the Athens Energy Community Treaty for South-Eastern Europe.
