A meeting on the issue of Diplomas was held in Brussels

On 20 October 2016, with the mediation of the European Union, Kosovo and Serbia met in Brussels to discuss on the implementation of the agreement on diploma recognition, reached on 19 January 2016.
At this meeting, the delegation of Kosovo, headed by Minister Edita Tahiri, reported on the preparations for the implementation of this agreement and welcomed EU’s decision to reassign SPARK NGO to administer the application process as for the certification of diplomas.
The EU commended the progress that was achieved, and set prospects for another meeting to finalize all the necessary activities to implement the agreement.
The delegation of the Republic of Kosovo was led by Minister Edita Tahiri and comprised of: Arjeta Rexhaj, Coordinator on the issue; Qemajl Marmullakaj, professional coordinator and director of the Office for Strategic Planning at OPM; Bekim Samadraxha, head of the division on Higher Education in MEST; Gazmir Raci, political adviser; and Haxhi Bajraktari from Kosovo Embassy in Brussels.
