Tripartite Group for the implementation of Cadastral Records Agreement

On 5 April 2012, the tripartite group held a regular meeting in Prishtina, chaired by representatives of the European Union, with experts from the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. At this meeting, the implementation of the agreement on the return of cadastral records taken from Kosovo during the war of 1999, was discussed.

The delegation of Serbia submitted the final list of all the documents from the cadastral registry taken from most of the Kosovo municipalities. Meanwhile, experts from the Kosovo Cadastral Agency and from the Property Agency will analyze the accuracy and truthfulness of the information included there. The list includes cadastral dossiers of the following cities: Prishtina, Podujeva, Prizren, Gjilan, Peja, Mitrovica, Zveçan, Leposavic, Zubin Potok, Rahovec, Skenderaj, Ferizaj, Shtërpcë, Vushtrri, Deçan, Gjakovë, Istog, Lipjan, Vitia, Kamenicë, Drenas, Klinë, Fushë Kosovë, Novobërdë, Obiliq, Kaçanik, Shtime, Suharekë and Dragash.

At the end of the meeting, the willingness of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, Cadastral Agency and Kosovo Property Agency was reconfirmed to fully implement the agreement on the return of cadastral files snatched by Serbia. The group of the Republic of Kosovo tasked with the implementation of agreements was composed of Mr. Gazmir Raci, political advisor and coordinator for the cadastral files from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Edita Tahiri, Mr. Murat Meha, head of the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, Mr. Scott Bowen, executive director of the Kosovo Property Agency and Mr. Xhevat Azemi, Deputy Director and experts from Kosovo Cadastral Agency, Mr. Reshat Murati, Mr. Qemajl Kadiri, Mr. Hajzer Bublaku, Mr. Ismet Kryeziu and Mr. Muzafer Qaka. Representatives from the EU office and EUSR in Kosovo, Mr. Andrej Kiendl and Mrs. Michele Moran also participated in the meeting.
